BP to focus transition portfolio in solar generation The United Kingdom based BP aims to move from an international oil company (IOC) to international energy company (IEC). Bernard Looney, BP’s Chief Executive Officer recently stated, “No one knows the precise path – but the energy mix is changing – oil and gas are going to be increasingly challenged – and other forms of energy are going to see incredible growth”. To this he continued that, “We have a new guiding purpose – to reimagine energy for people and our planet.
