Shell Brasil and Porto do Acu announce green hydrogen project

Shell Brasil and Porto do Açu today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the joint development of a pilot plant to generate green hydrogen at the port facilities, located in the northern region of the country. Rio de Janeiro state. The project is a pioneer in Brazil and will work as a research laboratory to develop learning, carry out decarbonization tests and boost this industry in the country.

Bidders table projects averaging 20MW for commissioning by end-2025 Ten companies have submitted proposals to the Chilean government to build green hydrogen projects to start operations by December 2025 at the latest.
