Philippines prepares to join the import club

BW Gas has won the contract to supply an FSRU for an LNG import terminal in the Philippines. The 162,400cm BW Paris will be chartered for five years by First Gen Corp and its sole partner Tokyo Gas, for its 3.0m t/y FGEN LNG import terminal at Batangas City in Batangas Bay, on the island of Luzon. Scheduled to be commissioned in Q3 2022, the project will serve the First Gen Clean Energy Complex, as an interim solution ahead of a future onshore regasification terminal.
