Major new European solar enterprise

The creation of AMPYR Solar Europe through the merger of NaGa Solar with the existing Ampyr Energy UK solar joint venture between AGP Group and Hartree Partners was announced in February.

The merger creates a major European Solar Enterprise with a combined pipeline of over 4GW of large-scale ground-mount and rooftop solar projects in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands and a team of over 30 experienced renewable development professionals.

Headquartered in London and Maastricht, AMPYR Solar Europe brings together AGP’s experience in developing large-scale renewable power projects, Hartree’s cutting edge power trading analytics and zero carbon solutions with NaGa’s in-depth local knowledge and land development prowess. Combining these complementary skills will speed up the build out of solar capacity and offers an attractive opportunity for institutional investors to deploy in excess of €1 billion of capital and generate a reliable, long-term income.

Experienced development teams in UK, Germany & the Netherlands

NaGa Solar’s high quality development teams and local relationships will be further enhanced with the research, design, engineering and procurement expertise of the AMPYR Energy Technology Solutions in Delhi.

The merger will help accelerate the journey to zero-carbon for local communities and regions. For landowners, we will continue to represent a solid and reliable partner, able to secure the necessary consents and permits to ensure project delivery, and backed by the resources and capital base of an international partner, whilst retaining the “family” ethos and relationship of NaGa solar. For power users, we are able to provide stable, secure long-term renewable energy solutions.

AMPYR Energy is an active developer of on-shore wind. Alongside the solar business in Europe, AMPYR is actively developing a portfolio of large-scale wind projects in the UK and has secured its first sites in Scotland that are now being taken forwards for planning consent.
