Samsung Signs on to Build Significant Saudi Arabian PDH Plant

Samsung Engineering of South Korea recently stated that it has been awarded a contract valued at $653 million dollars for the construction of a propane dehydrogenation plant (PDH) in Saudi Arabia.

Advanced Petrochemical Company subsidiary Advanced Global Investment Co (APC) is developing this PDH plant with a capacity for 843,000 tons per year of propylene, making it likely the largest PDH plant in the world once completed. This PDH project will be built on the east coast of Saudi Arabia in the Jubail Industrial City with an anticipated start date in 2024.
