Worley Wins FEED Contract for Rodeo Renewed Project
Worley of Australia recently announced that it had been awarded a front-end engineering services contract by Phillips 66 for its planned conversion of its long running San Francisco refinery in Rodeo, California into a renewable fuels facility.
The Rodeo Renewed project began to take shape last year for the reconfiguration of the 120,000 barrel per day San Francisco refinery into a facility capable of 650 million gallons annually of renewable fuels. Feedstock is expected to come from used cooking oils, fats, and vegetable oils and Phillips 66 is anticipating a startup in 2024. Upon its completion, this facility is expected to be one of the largest of its kind in the world.
FEED services under this contract will be performed by Worley’s North America West team with support from the Global Integrated Delivery team.
