Worley Awarded Services Contract for Ras Tanuras Residue Upgrade

Worley of Australia has been awarded a services contract for a residue upgrade project by Saudi Aramco on October 12, 2021.  This residue upgrade project will be placed on the large Ras Tanuras refinery complex grounds.

With this awarding, Worley will provide pre-FEED services and project management services for the duration of the project. This includes upgrades to the existing crude distillation unit’s output for atmospheric, and vacuum gas oil, and for atmospheric gas oil from the site’s condensate unit. These upgrades and optimizations will ultimately lead to the project’s goal of converting lower value refinery residue material into higher value products such as gasoline, jet fuel, and ultra-low sulfur diesel.
