A future jewel in the crown?

Crown LNG, a Norwegian group which specialises in developing LNG infrastructure for harsh weather conditions, has signed an agreement with Aker Solutions. Under the agreement, Aker Solutions as main contractor, and key subcontractors SiemensEnergy and Wartsila, will deliver a gravity-based structure (GBS) in concrete for Crown’s 7.2m t/y Kakinada LNG Terminal, 11km offshore India. After the initial FEED contract is concluded, FID is expected to be taken by the end of 2022, with a commissioning date three years later, by end-2025.
