The GEI Data Research Team looks at the new hydrogen projects added to our database and the progress made on existing developments. Issue 5 of the Hydrogen Project Playbook looks at current status of the data at the end of 2021. Throughout the year the number of hydrogen projects has increased around the world; especially as alternative energies are being sought. We have seen that these can be produced from biomass, gasoline, methane, coal, or water. Varying factors such as pollution, technical issues, and energy needs may affect the use of each feedstock.
