Phase One of Nigeria’s Waltersmith Refinery Reaches Commissioning Status This Week

Waltersmith Petroman Oil Ltd of Nigeria recently announced that it will inaugurate phase one of its modular style refinery in Nigeria’s Ibigwe, Imo State this week. Waltersmith announced this on social media for November 24th.

This initial phase will bring 5,000 barrels per day to what Waltersmith envisions as an eventual energy park on up to 500 hectares of land.  With Phase One completed, the project can turn to Phase Two, which is designed to eventually add 25,000 barrels per day with products ranging from gasoline, diesel, LPG, kerosene, and jet fuel.  An additional third phase is also being envisioned to add 20,000 barrels per day as well.  The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board is expected to announce both phases to come once Phase One is made official.
