CVR Energy Chooses Haldor Topsoe Technology for its Wynnewood Refinery Conversion

CVR Energy recently announced that it will convert its traditional refinery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma over to a renewable diesel facility with Haldor Topsoe’s HydroFlex technology in place. Haldor Topsoe has been contracted to provide basic engineering, license, proprietary equipment, and catalysts.

The CVR Wynnewood refinery diesel project will convert CVR’s existing onsite hydrocracker for the purpose of producing renewable diesel from soybean oil.  Construction has already begun on the project, and is due for completion in mid 2021 with an estimated cost of $110 million.
