Haldor Topsoe Signs on to Supply Technology for Renewable Refinery in Kansas

Seaboard Energy of Kansas has chosen Haldor Topsoe’s HydroFlex technology for its upcoming renewable diesel facility in Hugoton, Kansas.

This is a 6,500 barrel per day renewable diesel unit that already under construction at the Seaboard Energy site for a planned startup by the end of 2021. Feedstock will come from tallow and soybean oil.  The rapid pace of construction is likely due to this site being done at an idled cellulosic ethanol plant purchased in early 2019.  Once complete by December 31, 2021, this site will also reportedly be able to produce 8.5 million gallons annually as well as the primary renewably sourced diesel.
