Nacero Awards FEED Contract to Bechtel for GTG plant

Nacero of Houston has awarded a Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract to Bechtel for a proposed natural gas to gasoline (GTG) plant in Penwell, Texas.  This multibillion-dollar facility has an anticipated capacity for 115,000 barrels per day and is believed to the first gasoline manufacturing facility to include carbon capture, its storage, and 100% renewable power.

Once FEED has been completed, Bechtel is expected to propose a lump sum, turnkey EPC plan to Nacero.  Emissions reduction is reportedly a focus for this project by using renewable natural gas and mitigated flare gas. Construction is expected to kick off by the end of 2021 to be done in two phases over a six year span, though no startup date has been announced yet.
