H2 Green Steel and Fortum have signed a frame agreement for electricity trading for the supply of CO2-free electricity for H2 Green Steel’s operations in Northern Sweden.
OX2 to develop an offshore energy hub outside the coast of southern Sweden
OX2 has initiated the development of the offshore energy hub Neptunus in southern Baltic Sea. The energy hub is estimated to have a total installed capacity of 1.9 GW and will produce both electricity and hydrogen. The project will be included in OX2’s project development portfolio for the first quarter, 2023.
Liquid Wind submits environmental permit application for large-scale production of green electrofuel in Sundsvall
Liquid Wind is applying for an environmental permit for FlagshipTWO at the Land and Environment Court in Östersund. The permit is for Liquid Wind’s second commercial-scale green electrofuel facility, in Sundsvall north-east of Sweden.
Stockholm Exergi launches unique negative emissions offering – strong customer interest immediately
Stockholm Exergi recently made it possible for its district heating customers to purchase negative emissions from the company’s future BECCS facility. Alongside their commitments to reduce emissions, more and more companies are seeing a need for negative emissions to reach net-zero targets or to further reduce their carbon footprint. Through their purchases, customers are simultaneously making additional contributions to the financing of Stockholm Exergi’s BECCS plant, which is scheduled to be operational in 2026.
RES announces new hydrogen project in Sweden - acquiring historic industrial area
RES announced the acquisition of a 60 acre industrial area in Ljungaverk, in northern Sweden. RES will use the site to develop a new hydrogen plant which will produce green hydrogen for local industry.
Lhyfe and Trelleborgs Energi join forces for renewable green hydrogen production in Sweden
Lhyfe, a world pioneer and pure player in renewable green hydrogen Lhyfe and the Swedish local energy company Trelleborgs Energi have joined forces in a pre-study that aims to build a local renewable hydrogen production system in southernmost Sweden. As committed change makers, both companies are set to act now for the climate, focusing on green hydrogen as a solution. The results are due to be presented in the summer 2022.
