Partners move onshore US

Siemens Gamesa and Orsted have signed an agreement for their first US onshore project together. The 51-turbine, 298MW Haystack project in Wayne county, Nebraska is expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2021. The order also includes a 30-year, full-scope service and maintenance agreement covering primary activities related to the service and maintenance of the units. This agreement is the longest ever service contract for Siemens Gamesa in North America. The two companies will embark on a new stage of their partnership following nearly 30 years of offshore projects together, during which time they have installed over 1,300 wind turbines.
