US targets 30 by 30

The Biden Administration has revealed new offshore wind aims, with the Commerce, Energy and Interior departments establishing a target of 30GW of offshore wind capacity in the US by 2030. This is the latest step in its comprehensive effort toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The Department of Energy (DOE) has unlocked access to $3 billion in funding for offshore wind projects through its Innovative Energy Loan Guarantee Program, and the Department of the Interior (DOI) has been directed to advance the regulatory review process for multiple new offshore wind ventures.
