Reliance and ADNOC Team Up for Ruwais Petrochemical Complex

Reliance Industries of India and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) have signed an agreement for a significant new petrochemical project to be set in Ruwais, as jointly announced by both companies.

This entry by Reliance is the first greenfield overseas project for the company, as it strives to increase its international presence.  This multibillion-dollar integrated project will be set in the TA’ZIZ industrial complex and is being designed for an annual production capacity of 940,000 tons of chlor-alkali, 1.1 million tons of ethylene dichloride and 360,000 tons of PVC for the Middle East and Indian markets.  An FID is currently anticipated for 2022.
