GAIL adds Grace PP Technology to Upcoming Plant in India

W.R. Grace & Co has licensed its UNIPOL® PP process technology to GAIL of India for its upcoming propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) plant located in Usar, Maharastra, India.  This facility will be the first PDH/PP plant to be built in India.

The plant in Usar is being planned for a startup in 2024 as a conversion project from an existing LPG plan onsite.  This 500,000 tpy facility will be the second facility that GAIL has contracted Grace for its UNIPOL® PP process, following an announcement last August for a smaller PP plant in Pata, India.
