Hywind Tampen on its way

Aker Solutions has completed the first phase of construction for the Hywind Tampen project. The first part of construction of Equinor’s NKr5.0 billion, 11-turbine, 88MW Hywind Tampen, set to be the world’s largest floating offshore windfarm, has been finalised at Aker Solutions yard in Stord, Norway. The 11 substructures for the floating concrete foundations are currently being towed to Vindafjord where the rest of the slip-forming and mechanical outfitting will be completed, ready for expected commissioning in Q3 2022.
