PT Pertamina International chooses Topsoe technology at Cilacap facility in Indonesia

Topsoe, a global leader in developing solutions for a decarbonized world, has been selected by PT KPI as a technology licensor to provide its HydroFlex™ technology for the production of renewable fuels at the Cilacap Refinery Complex in Central Java, Indonesia. Once complete, the grassroot unit will use Topsoe’s technology to convert bio-feedstock into SAF and renewable diesel, with plans to produce 6,000 bpsd.

Braskem, the leading global biopolymer producer, and SCG Chemicals, a leading petrochemical company in Thailand and Southeast Asia, have signed a joint venture (JV) agreement to create Braskem Siam Company Limited. Subject to clearance from the relevant anti-trust authorities and final investment decision by the partners, this joint venture aims to produce bio-ethylene from bio-ethanol dehydration and to commercialize I'm green TM bio-based polyethylene (PE), using the EtE EverG reen TM technology. The technology results from the partnership agreement between Lummus Technology LLC and Braskem B.V. to develop and license this technology.

CNOOC Limited Announces China's First Offshore CCS Demonstration Project Commissioned

On June 1, CNOOC Limited announced the official commissioning of China's first offshore CCS demonstration project. The CCS project is an auxiliary part of the Enping 15-1 oilfields development. Enping 15-1 oilfield is located in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, about 190 kilometers southwest of Hong Kong, with an average water depth of approximately 80 meters and has a high carbon dioxide content.

Sichuan Jinshang Environmental Protection Technology Co. To Produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel Utilizing Honeywell Ecofining Technology

Honeywell today announced that Sichuan Jinshang Environmental Protection Technology Co. (JSRE) will use Honeywell EcofiningTM technology to produce nearly 300,000 tons per year (approximately 6,000 barrels per day) of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at its newly planned facility in Suining, Sichuan Province, China. Technip Energies has been Awarded a Contract by CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company Ltd. (CSPC) for the Huizhou Phase III ethylene cracker located in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China.

Technip Energies is providing the proprietary technology and process design for CSPC’s 1,600 KTA(1) ethylene plant. This liquid ethylene cracker pioneers the use of a low CO2 furnace design and electrification of major compressors. The plant is anticipated to have 20% lower CO2 emissions than a similar conventional facility and will be able to maximize benefit from the rapidly decarbonizing power grid for future CO2 emission reduction.
