Aramco Awards $7.7 Billion Contracts to Add 1.5 bscfd of Raw Gas to Fadhili Gas Plant

Aramco, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, today awarded engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts worth $7.7 billion for a major expansion of its Fadhili Gas Plant in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The project is expected to increase the plant’s processing capacity from 2.5 to up to 4 billion standard cubic feet per day (bscfd).

Técnicas Reunidas and Sinopec awarded two contracts by Saudi Aramco for more than 3.3 billion USD

Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s largest energy companies, has awarded a joint venture formed by the Spanish company Técnicas Reunidas and the Chinese Sinopec Engineering Group the development of new Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) fractionation facilities in Saudi Arabia. The works will be developed on the basis of two EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contracts for the execution of Riyas NGL Fractionation Trains (Package 1) and Riyas NGL Common Facilities (Package 2), which includes utilities, storage and export facilities. Total investment arising from these two contracts amounts to more than 3.3 billion USD. Since the joint venture is 65% owned by Técnicas Reunidas and 35% by Sinopec Engineering Group, the Spanish company is entitled to more than 2.15 billion USD of this total amount.

Samsung Engineering receives FEED contract for Saudi Petrochemical Project

Samsung Engineering, a world leading engineering solutions and project management company, announced today that it received the NoA(Notice of Award) for the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) contract of a PDH, PP, UTOS plant from Alujain National Industrial Co.(LNIC) in Saudi Arabia. The contract amount is USD 19.428 million and the FEED work is expected to be carried out in Samsung Engineering’s offices in Seoul, Korea until May 2024.

Award of Packages 1 & 4 for a Petrochemical Expansion at the SATORP Refinery in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (“HDEC”) has been awarded contracts for two EPC packages related to a petrochemical expansion at the SATORP refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Package 1 (Mixed Feed Cracker and Refinery Off Gases) involves installing a Mixed Feed Cracker (MFC) to produce an additional 1,650 KTA (kilo tons per annum) of ethylene and related industrial gases. Package 4 (Utilities, Flares & Interconnecting) relates to installation of facilities that supply utilities such as electricity and water to plants, and functions as interconnecting systems that support main packages within the facilities.

Petrojet Has Signed an EPC Contract with Luberef for Production Facility in Yanbu in KSA

Petrojet - the executive arm for the Egyptian Petroleum Ministry- has signed an EPC contract with LUBREF ( Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company ) for carrying out the second phase of development named Growth - 2 Expansion Project, the agreement seeks to raise the Yanbu Facility’s base oil production capacity to approximately 1.3 million metric tons per year in 2025. Additionally, the contract will further enable Luberef to flexibly produce Group-II and Group-III base oils based on market demands.

ADNOC Announces Gas IPO

Brunsbuttel FSRU Recieves First Cargo

The partnership between RWE and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for the supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is becoming visible with the arrival of the “Ish” as the first LNG cargo at the Brunsbuettel Elbehafen port. Here, the LNG will be regasified and fed into the German gas grid via the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) “Hoegh Gannet”, which was chartered by RWE on behalf of the German government. 137,000 cubic metres of LNG were shipped by ADNOC from Das Island, Abu Dhabi, to Brunsbuettel. This corresponds to more than 82 million cubic metres of regasified natural gas and to approximately 900 million kilowatt hours of energy. The LNG is to be fed into the grid from the end of February as part of the commissioning phase of the FSRU, which is currently underway.
