Part of this strategy includes the massive scale-up of H₂ production capacity, primarily green routes that use renewable energy for production. Part 2 focused on Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Central and South America. Spanish energy company Iberdrola wants to export green ammonia to the Netherlands and supply it to its European customers as hydrogen through Gasunie's national hydrogen network. To establish this green hydrogen chain from Spain to the Netherlands, the Spanish energy company signed letters of intent with Dutch Gasunie’s subsidiary Hynetwork Services and ACE Terminal. In doing so, Iberdrola will export green ammonia to the Netherlands through the planned ACE import terminal at the Port of Rotterdam and transport it as green hydrogen via the Dutch national hydrogen network of Hynetwork Services to European customers.

Gasunie intends to realise a hydrogen network in the German part of the North Sea. This German hydrogen network plays an important role in the large-scale import of hydrogen from Norway and the increasing supply of green hydrogen from future wind farms in the North Sea. The German offshore network will be connected to the Dutch offshore network, providing cross border options to import and eventually even export hydrogen through the Dutch offshore network. H2Carrier AS and Anori A/S to co-operate in developing a large PtX project in Greenland
H2Carrier AS and the Greenland based company Anori A/S have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the purpose of developing the first commercial wind farm in Greenland with subsequent production and export of green ammonia. The wind farm is projected to comprise 1.5GW renewable energy which will supply power to H2Carrier’s floating production vessel for hydrogen and green ammonia, the so-called P2XFloater™. Green ammonia will be stored in tanks onboard the vessel, then exported to smaller shipping vessels and carried to the international market for ammonia. This large project will enable Greenland to play a key role within global decarbonisation.
