NLNG announces Force Majeure
Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has declared force majeure on product supplies from its production facilities on Bonny Island, Nigeria following the declaration of force majeure by all its upstream gas suppliers.
Consortium, led by Hyphen Technical, awarded grant funding for Green Hydrogen Dual-Fuel Locomotive Pilot Project in Namibia
A consortium led by hydrogen application development company, Hyphen Technical, comprising of TransNamib Holdings Limited, University of Namibia, CMB.TECH and Traxtion has been awarded grant funding for development of Africa’s first dual-fuel hydrogen-diesel locomotives. The project, called HyRail Namibia, will use Namibian produced green hydrogen supplied from the Cleanergy Solutions Namibia Green Hydrogen facility near Walvis Bay to power the hydrogen dual fuel locomotives.

Hyphen Hydrogen Energy Progresses Its Planned US$10 bn Namibian Green Hydrogen Project
Hyphen Hydrogen Energy (Hyphen) is making positive progress on its discussions with the Namibian Government as it moves towards signature of the Implementation Agreement before the end of the year for its planned US$10 bn Namibian green hydrogen project. Material progress has been made since Hyphen’s last announcement at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in May this year, when it laid out an ambitious timeline to realise this transformative project.
Eni Acquires the Tango FLNG to Produce and Export LNG from the Republic of Congo
Eni informs that it has acquired the company Export LNG Ltd, which owns the Tango FLNG floating liquefaction facility, from Exmar group. The facility will be used by Eni in the Republic of Congo, as part of the activities of the natural gas development project in the Marine XII block, in line with Eni's strategy to leverage gas equity resources.

Masdar signs landmark agreements to develop 4 GW-capacity green hydrogen plants in Egypt by 2030
Masdar, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, and Hassan Allam Utilities, the investment and development arm of Hassan Allam Holding Group, announced today that they have signed two Memorandums of Understanding with leading Egyptian state-backed organizations to cooperate on the development of green hydrogen production plants in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and on the Mediterranean coast.
The Republic of Congo and Eni agree to increase gas production and supply
In the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso, of the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luigi di Maio, and of the Italian Minister for Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani, the Minister of Hydrocarbons of the Republic of Congo, Bruno Jean Richard Itoua, and the CEO of Eni, Claudio Descalzi, signed a letter of intent in Brazzaville today to increase gas production and export. Following the signature, a meeting was held with the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso.
Massive Nigerian Refinery Due Online by the end of 2022
The privately owned Dangote refinery currently under construction in Nigeria is expected online by the end of the year, according to recent comments from Dangote Group Executive Devakumar Edwin. This complex will have a total capacity for 650,000 barrels per day upon completion.

Egypt project to produce 300,000 tons of green hydrogen per year
Preliminary approval has been granted to H2-Industries by the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone (SC°Zone) for the development of a 1GW LOHC Hydrogen Hub at East Port-Said which will be the first project of its type in the world. The hydrogen plant will be fed with 4 million tons of organic waste and non-recyclable plastic per year secured at the Mediterranean entrance to the canal. The Suez Canal Project will produce 300,000 tons of green hydrogen per year at half the levelized cost of current green hydrogen production technologies, taking the cost even lower than current levels for low-carbon and grey hydrogen production
Large Nigerian Refinery Due Online by End of 2022
The 650,000 barrel per day Dangote refinery in Nigeria is currently going through test runs for a full startup in the second half of 2022, according to Dangote company officials. Precommissioning for some production units began late last year.

Plug Power Inc. a leading provider of turnkey hydrogen solutions for the global green hydrogen market, today announces it has been selected by Fertiglobe the strategic partnership between OCI NV and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Scatec ASA, the Sovereign Fund of Egypt and Orascom Construction, as the technology provider for a 100 megawatts electrolyzer to produce green hydrogen as feedstock for up to 90,000 tons of green ammonia production at EBIC in Ain Sokhna, Egypt.
