Woodside’s H2Perth to make Western Australia a hydrogen powerhouse

Leading Australian energy producer Woodside, with the support of the State Government of Western Australia, has unveiled plans to establish a world-scale hydrogen and ammonia production facility at a site in southern metropolitan Perth. The proposed project, named H2Perth, would be built on approximately 130 hectares of vacant industrial land to be leased from the State in the Kwinana Strategic Industrial Area and Rockingham Industry Zone.

QatarEnergy and H2Korea sign hydrogen energy cooperation agreement

QatarEnergy and Korea’s Hydrogen Convergence Alliance (H2Korea) signed an agreement for cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy. The agreement provides a framework of cooperation in the development of the hydrogen sector in both countries, encouraging growth of the hydrogen industry and expansion of the hydrogen supply chain, in addition to supporting efforts within multilateral fora to accelerate cooperation for hydrogen related technologies worldwide.

Lummus and Clariant to Provide Technology to India’s first PDH Plant

Lummus announced this week that it and its catalyst partner, Clariant Catalysts, have won a major contract award for GAIL of India’s upcoming propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant in Usar, Maharashtra. This plant is expected to be the first PDH plant in India.

McDermott International announced in early October that it had won a key contract for the significant upcoming Cauvery project in Nagapattinam, India.
