Site Construction Underway at TA’ZIZ and Next Major Phase of Growth Launched
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and ADQ, the majority shareholders in TA’ZIZ, launched, today, the next phase of growth at the TA’ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone, in Al Ruways Industrial City, which will more than double the number of chemicals produced at the industrial hub.

Following its selection as the first partner for the 32 million ton per annum (Mtpa) North Field East (NFE) liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, TotalEnergies has again been selected as the first international partner in the 16 Mtpa North Field South (NFS) LNG project. Pursuant to the agreement, TotalEnergies will obtain a 9.375% participating interest in the NFS project – out of a total 25% interest available for international partners – while the national company QatarEnergy will hold the remaining 75%.

QatarEnergy’s affiliates, QatarEnergy Renewable Solutions and Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO) signed agreements today for the construction of the Ammonia-7 Project, the industry’s first world-scale and largest Blue Ammonia project. QatarEnergy Renewable Solutions (owned 100% by QatarEnergy) and QAFCO (owned 100% by QatarEnergy’s subsidiary, Industries Qatar which is listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange), have joined hands to establish the Ammonia-7 Project, which will have a capacity of 1.2 million tons per annum (MTPA) of Blue Ammonia, making it the world’s largest such facility. With a targeted start-up date of Q1 2026, the new plant will be located in Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC) and will be operated by QAFCO as part of its integrated facilities.

Reliance is India’s largest diversified conglomerate and a strategic partner with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and ADQ, an Abu Dhabi-based investment and holding company, in TA’ZIZ EDC & PVC, a world-scale chemicals development at the TA’ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone in Ruwais. The TA’ZIZ EDC & PVC joint venture will construct and operate a Chlor-Alkali, Ethylene Dichloride (EDC) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) production facility, with a total investment of over $2 billion (AED 7.34 billion).
