TECO 2030 and AVL signs contract for Heavy Duty Truck feasibility study

TECO 2030 ASA and AVL List sign contract for feasibility study of developing and industrializing a Fuel Cell System for heavy-duty (HD) trucks. The feasibility study starts immediately and is expected to be completed in 2 months. After successful completion, TECO 2030 plans to industrialize this Heavy Duty Fuel Cell System and manufacture them at the Innovation Center and gigafactory in Narvik, Norway.

EverWind Fuels Receives Environmental Approval for First Industrial-Scale Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia Project in North America

EverWind Fuels Company ("EverWind") has received Environmental Approval for the initial phase of its $6 billion, 1 million tonnes per annum green hydrogen and green ammonia project located in Point Tupper, Nova Scotia. The approval was issued today by the Honourable Timothy Halman, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Nova Scotia

Brunsbuttel FSRU Recieves First Cargo

The partnership between RWE and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for the supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is becoming visible with the arrival of the “Ish” as the first LNG cargo at the Brunsbuettel Elbehafen port. Here, the LNG will be regasified and fed into the German gas grid via the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) “Hoegh Gannet”, which was chartered by RWE on behalf of the German government. 137,000 cubic metres of LNG were shipped by ADNOC from Das Island, Abu Dhabi, to Brunsbuettel. This corresponds to more than 82 million cubic metres of regasified natural gas and to approximately 900 million kilowatt hours of energy. The LNG is to be fed into the grid from the end of February as part of the commissioning phase of the FSRU, which is currently underway.

DEWA and ENOC sign a Memorandum of Understanding to develop and operate a joint integrated pilot project for the use of hydrogen in mobility

The MoU was signed on the first day of the World Government Summit 2023. The signing ceremony was attended by officials from the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, DEWA, and Enoc.

Gasunie continues to work on options to increase lng imports into the Netherlands. Options to further expand existing capacity at Eemshaven and at Gate terminal are being further explored. The recently announced feasibility study has shown that a new floating lng terminal in the port of Terneuzen is not feasible in the short term.

Gasunie to develop international hydrogen network in German North Sea

Gasunie intends to realise a hydrogen network in the German part of the North Sea. This German hydrogen network plays an important role in the large-scale import of hydrogen from Norway and the increasing supply of green hydrogen from future wind farms in the North Sea. The German offshore network will be connected to the Dutch offshore network, providing cross border options to import and eventually even export hydrogen through the Dutch offshore network. To develop the offshore hydrogen network, the company has now applied to the European Commission for Project of Common Interest (PCI) status.

PetroChina again selects differentiated LyondellBasell Polyethylene (PE) technology

LyondellBasell announced today that PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical Company will again license LyondellBasell’s polyethylene technology at their facility located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, P.R. of China. The newly licensed technology will comprise of LyondellBasell’s leading high-pressure Lupotech process technology which will be used for both a 100 kiloton per year (KTA) Autoclave and a 300 KTA Tubular line. Both production trains will produce mainly low-density polyethylene (LDPE) with ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA).
