Hydrogen producer Lhyfe to develop 200 MW Plant in Netherlands

Tree Energy Solutions and Fortescue Future Industries team up to develop green hydrogen integrated project
The partnership will see the companies work collaboratively to address the significant dual challenges of energy security and energy transition. Fluor Awarded Two Contracts for the BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project in China
Fluor announced that the company was awarded two reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction management contracts by BASF for the ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol and infrastructure, offsites and utilities packages as part of the company’s new Verbund program in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, China. The contract value to Fluor is more than $2 billion and was booked in the third quarter of 2022.
Sojitz, Reganosa and Rubis Terminal sign a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) for the Development of a Green Hydrogen Supply Chain connecting Galicia and North-West Europe
Japanese Industrial conglomerate Sojitz Corporation (“Sojitz”), European bulk liquid storage company, Rubis Terminal Infra SAS (“Rubis Terminal”), and Spanish infrastructure investment company, Reganosa Asset Investments (“Reganosa”) have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (“MOU”) to conduct a joint feasibility study for the development of a green hydrogen supply chain in Europe.
Technip Energies Announces Award of a Large Contract for FEED, License and Proprietary Equipment Supply for INEOS’ Project One Ethane Cracker
Technip Energies has been awarded a large contract for the proprietary equipment supply for INEOS Olefins Belgium NV’s 1,450,000 tpy ethane cracker in Antwerp, Belgium. This latest award is in line with our early engagement strategy and consolidates the successful completion of the Ethylene License and Extended Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) previously awarded to Technip Energies by INEOS.
Consortium, led by Hyphen Technical, awarded grant funding for Green Hydrogen Dual-Fuel Locomotive Pilot Project in Namibia
A consortium led by hydrogen application development company, Hyphen Technical, comprising of TransNamib Holdings Limited, University of Namibia, CMB.TECH and Traxtion has been awarded grant funding for development of Africa’s first dual-fuel hydrogen-diesel locomotives. The project, called HyRail Namibia, will use Namibian produced green hydrogen supplied from the Cleanergy Solutions Namibia Green Hydrogen facility near Walvis Bay to power the hydrogen dual fuel locomotives.
INEOS awards contract to Atkins to design its world scale low carbon hydrogen plant at Grangemouth
INEOS takes a huge step forward in delivering its plans for a world-scale low-carbon hydrogen plant at Grangemouth as it awards a key contract for the design of the plant to Atkins The hydrogen plant, expected to be operational by 2030, will further reduce emissions from the site by 1million tonnes per year as the site targets net zero by 2045. In developing a hydrogen hub at Grangemouth we will be supporting other end users of this low-carbon fuel source to reduce their carbon footprints too

Qatar: TotalEnergies Selected as QatarEnergy’s First Partner in the North Field South LNG project
Following its selection as the first partner for the 32 million ton per annum (Mtpa) North Field East (NFE) liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, TotalEnergies has again been selected as the first international partner in the 16 Mtpa North Field South (NFS) LNG project. Pursuant to the agreement, TotalEnergies will obtain a 9.375% participating interest in the NFS project – out of a total 25% interest available for international partners – while the national company QatarEnergy will hold the remaining 75%.

Siemens commissions one of Germany’s largest green hydrogen generation plants
In Wunsiedel, Upper Franconia, one of Germany’s largest green hydrogen generation plants has been planned digitally and commissioned by Siemens, demonstrating the key role hydrogen can play in Germany’s energy future. Around one year after the official groundbreaking ceremony, Bavaria’s Minister-President Markus Söder, Siemens Managing Board member Matthias Rebellius and Siemens Financial Services CEO Veronika Bienert handed over the plant to the operating company WUN H2, represented by Managing Directors Thilo Rießner and Philipp Matthes.
State Power Investment Corporation and Templewater sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Green Hydrogen in the Greater Bay Area
Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, State Power Investment Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. HyCC and VNG to jointly develop green hydrogen projects for decarbonization of Central Germany
The Dutch hydrogen company HyCC and the German gas company VNG AG have launched project “GreenRoot” for the development of large-scale green hydrogen production to help industries in Central Germany reduce their CO2-emissions. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards this end at an existing electrolysis facility in Bitterfeld.

Carlton Power plans to build Devon & Cornwall's first low carbon green hydrogen hub
Carlton Power, one of the UK’s most experienced energy infrastructure development companies and the company who originated and developed the Langage gas-fired power station and the Langage solar farm (located eight miles east of Plymouth, Devon) has chosen to build its third green hydrogen hub in the UK on land within the Langage Energy Park. The 10MW hydrogen hub project, the first of its kind in Devon and Cornwall, will provide local companies - for example energy intensive industries or those with transport fleets – with easy access to hydrogen fuel. QatarEnergy Renewable Solutions and QAFCO launch the world's largets blue ammonia facility
QatarEnergy’s affiliates, QatarEnergy Renewable Solutions and Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO) signed agreements today for the construction of the Ammonia-7 Project, the industry’s first world-scale and largest Blue Ammonia project. QatarEnergy Renewable Solutions (owned 100% by QatarEnergy) and QAFCO (owned 100% by QatarEnergy’s subsidiary, Industries Qatar which is listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange), have joined hands to establish the Ammonia-7 Project, which will have a capacity of 1.2 million tons per annum (MTPA) of Blue Ammonia, making it the world’s largest such facility. With a targeted start-up date of Q1 2026, the new plant will be located in Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC) and will be operated by QAFCO as part of its integrated facilities.

The facility would import green ammonia from production locations operated by Air Products and its partners around the world. This would be used to produce green hydrogen, which would decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors such as transport and industry.

Energy Transfer to Supply Shell 2.1 Million Tonnes of LNG per Annum from its Lake Charles LNG Export Facility Under 20-Year Agreement
Energy Transfer LP today announced its subsidiary, Energy Transfer LNG Export, LLC, has entered into a 20-year LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Shell NA LNG LLC related to its Lake Charles LNG project. Under the SPA, Energy Transfer LNG will supply Shell 2.1 million tonnes of LNG per annum (mtpa). The LNG will be supplied on a free-on-board (FOB) basis and the purchase price will be indexed to the Henry Hub benchmark, plus a fixed liquefaction charge. The first deliveries are expected to commence as early as 2026. The SPA will become fully effective upon the satisfaction of the conditions precedent, including Energy Transfer LNG taking a final investment decision (FID).
